Toyota’s Hilux and Ford’s Ranger utes are top sellers for six years in a row

Official V-Facts new vehicle sales figures for September released this week saw
110,702 sales recorded, 18.3 per cent up on September last year. Sales of SUV’s
and light commercials making up 79.4 per cent of the market. The Toyota Hilux
ute the top seller with 5,776 sales followed by Ford’s Ranger ute with 5,429. Both
utilities have been our top selling vehicles for the past six years and the
competitive nature of the two light commercials and work horses is ever present.
Ford, with a huge backorder on the popular Ranger recently rented a ship to fast-
track deliveries from Thailand to local dealerships – the move designed to
minimise the risk of delays at Australian ports when sharing ships with other car
companies that may be put into quarantine due to biosecurity threats from bugs,
pests and seeds.

Pultusk, Poland – April, 25th, 2015: Ford Ranger Wildtrack stopped on the unmade road. The newest generation of Ranger was debut in 2011 on the market. The Ranger is powered by 2,2-litre diesel engine (pushing out 130 HP and 160 HP) or V6, 3.2-litre diesel engine (200HP).
