Victorians will have a new Premier with Jacinta Allan elected “unopposed” with Ben Carroll elected as her deputy Premier after three hours of deliberations following Dan Andrews resignation.

Heidi Murphy, Nine News reporter, says the returning officer came out and told reporters she was elected “unopposed.”

“He just said they stood “unopposed” and were elected “unopposed’, that’s not our understanding”
