‘Stinks to high heaven’: Ray Hadley calls out Qantas

Ray Hadley

Ray Hadley has criticised the Albanese government for refusing extra flights for Qatar Airways, whilst celebrating the national carrier for supporting the YES campaign.

In addition, Qantas introduced ‘YES’ livery for three planes, and will be flying YES campaigners around the country free of charge.

Hadley explained that various publications had reported that Transport Minister Catherine King went against advice from her own department regarding Qatar.

He challenged the notion that this move was in the national interest, stating, “Qantas … [is] unable to sustain pre-COVID international capacity until 2025 [due] to a lack of available aircraft.”

“In the meantime, super profits,” Hadley continued.

“This is surely one for the NAAC, the New Anti-Corruption Commission, in Canberra, because this stinks to high heaven,” Hadley said.
