Ray Hadley has paid tribute to the late Max Nugent, the 24-year-old airman who died after the Talisman Sabre crash.

Ray had a personal connection to the Nugent family and expressed his condolences to them before telling a touching story of his time with Max.

“Max fitted so much living into his twenty-four years. He got to live his dream. He loved flying for the army; life was everything he hoped it would be,” Ray eulogised on air.”12
