Truck drivers are being encouraged to tune in to a new station offering mental health support.

The Open Up Open Road initiative, created by GME in partnership with Rural Outreach Counselling, has launched on Channel 24 on UHF radio, where drivers can access counselling.

Rural reporter Ella Smith spoke to Truck Driver and Mental Health Advocate Rod Hannifey about the program, and how important it is for truck drivers to look after their mental health.
