Everywhere you look there is a promotion of Australian Margot Robbie’s new Barbie film.  Journalist for The Australian, Anne Barrowclough speaks with Michael McLaren about the history of Barbie and where the idea originally came from.  Most of us think of Barbie as the perfect, all- American girl… but even Barbie has a skeleton in her closet.  Anne Barrowclough says that “not only is Barbie really German, but she’s four years older than they let us know”.
