Voice architect hits out over Indigenous affairs bureaucracy
UNSW Professor Megan Davis, one of the key architects behind the Voice to Parliament, has spoken out over the issues with the bureaucracy in Indigenous affairs.
It comes after concerns that only a quarter of the communities in need see some of the $30 billion in funds that taxpayers spend on Indigenous issues.
“A big part of the urgency for the Voice and why people want it is because one of the reasons we have the disadvantage and problems we have in communities is because bureaucracy is in control of everything,” she said.
