Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has told Ray Hadley “it’s in everyone’s best interests” that Liberal Senator David Van resigns from parliament amid allegations of sexual assault.

The Opposition Leader’s comments come after it was confirmed on Thursday that Senator Van had been kicked out of the Liberal party room.

“I don’t tolerate the sexual assault of women,” he said.
