Lee Shearer, the woman tasked with managing Sydney’s cemeteries, was replaced without notice – finding out about her termination only when 2GB called her.

Shearer, a former New South Wales assistant police commissioner, revealed that she learned of her dismissal only after the call from Ben Fordham’s team.

Her replacement, Ken Morrison, had been announced by the new Minister, Steve Kamper, who had failed to inform her of this decision beforehand.

Shearer told Ben of the disappointment and frustration she felt, noting, “I’ve found out this morning… It’s pretty undignified. I really don’t know that it bodes well for a Government, honestly, with integrity and connection to people.”

UPDATE:  Minister Steve Kamper spoke with Ben on-air a little later and issued an apology for the stuff-up.
