The incredible journey of British migrants to Australia for just ten pounds in the post-WWII era comes to life in the new drama series Ten Pound POMS on Stan.

The promise was a better life, a better house, a better job and better weather in sun-soaked Australia.

In an interview with Deborah Knight, actor Stephen Curry shared his enthusiasm for the show in telling this remarkable part of Australia’s history.

“It’s such an incredible part of our history and it’s one that makes you celebrate… it’s odd that it’s taken this long for it to be told,” said Stephen.

Ten Pound Poms arrives on Stan on May 15.
