Paul Martin, CEO of the National Education Standards Authority (NESA), scrambled to defend the organisation after numerous teachers expressed concerns about difficulties in returning to teaching.

Chris O’Keefe questioned the CEO about NESA’s accreditation check process, which requires teachers to provide decades-old transcripts. The organisation also requires teachers to pay a $100 membership fee.

“That’s like a garbo paying $100 to the local council they work for, so they can pick up garbage”, O’Keefe exclaimed. 

Teachers have had to complete conversion courses while their inquiries go unanswered for extended periods.
