Australia’s oldest coal-fueled power plant Liddell Power Station has closed its doors for good, but there are concerns over the impact the closure will have on the state’s energy supply.

Australian businessman Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest told Chris O’Keefe there is no need for coal anymore.

“It’s also a really happy day… this joint has to close,” said Twiggy.

“Australia does deserve the cleanest, cheapest form of energy in the world.”
