‘No one there!’: NSW Treasurer on closing COVID testing sites
The demand for COVID testing sites is low and the NSW government is looking to get rid of them all together.
Free COVID testing clinics are still operational, with 88 drive-thru and 77 walk-in clinics across NSW testing fewer than 100 people a day.
Treasurer of NSW, Daniel Mookhey, told Ben Fordham, “When I went past the one in Maroubra, there was no one there.”
“We’re putting them through strict scrutiny now…We have to make sure that every dollar the value is spending is getting value.”
