NRL head of football Graham Annesley has explained why he wants hip drop tackles stamped out of the game, after the controversial technique has spiked to start the 2023 season.

“If we can get them out of the game entirely then no one will be happier than me,” Annesley said.

Annesley also addressed the controversy surrounding the hair pulling issue.
