A horrifying mass shooting took place in a Louisville bank building in the United States, leaving multiple victims before the gunman was ultimately neutralised by authorities.

The suspect, who entered the bank building heavily armed, targeted employees and customers in a seemingly indiscriminate manner. Witnesses described the chaotic and terrifying scene as people tried to flee or hide from the gunfire.

2GB’s US reporter Harley Carnes told Mark Levy “police are getting a lot of credit for their quick response.”

Investigators are currently exploring possible motives behind the attack, with early indications suggesting a potential personal vendetta against the bank or one of its employees.
