WICKED the musical will bewitch audiences from the Sydney stage

Deborah Knight

WICKED the musical is returning to the Sydney Lyric Theatre in August, marking 20 years since the show premiered on Broadway.

The musical tells the story of the two Wizard of Oz witches, the Wicked Witch of the West Elphaba and Good Witch Glinda, from a different angle.

“I’m so happy I could melt,” Sheridan Adams, who plays Elphaba, told Deborah Knight.

“Stepping into the shoes and the role of Glinda is a dream come true,” said Courtney Monsma who plays Glinda.

There will be over 60 showings in Sydney from August until October.

“You get little hints about how all of the characters came to be, little secrets we won’t give away,” said Sheridan.
