A 2GB listener has sent evidence to Ray Hadley of a former campaign manager switching sides amid the looming state election.

Robert Turner, who previously worked as the Campaign Manager for Former Independent MP Rob Oakeshott, was spotted supporting Independent Rachel Sheppard at the December 2021 Port Macquarie Hastings Council elections.

Dr Sheppard was running against Mayor Peta Pinson.

She has since been elected as Deputy Mayor.

Now, Mr Turner has been spotted at a pre-poll in Port Macquarie handing out how-to-vote cards for incumbent Liberal MP Leslie Williams, who is also running against The Nationals’ Peta Pinson.
