Are lab grown diamonds are more sustainable than natural ones?

The Vice President and Director of the Jewellery Association of Australia said that lab-grown diamonds offset the carbon footprint.

Lab-grown diamonds have the same properties as natural diamonds formed by mother nature.

Ronnie Bauer told Chris O’Keefe that the cost of production for lab-grown diamonds offset the carbon footprint.

On the other hand, workers get work if they mine diamonds and are able to feed their families.

Ultimately, Ronnie says it’s up to the person to make up their own mind on which side to take.

To create diamonds “heat and pressure” is used and that is where “sustainability comes in”.
