The BBC is in “crisis mode” after the network stood down sports presenter Gary Lineker.

The former English Premier League player was informed of the decision following a number of controversial tweets on the UK’s new border policies.

UK Correspondent Adam Gilchrist told Ben Fordham, a growing number of football players and BBC presenters rallied to Lineker’s support and refused to appear on the airwaves on Saturday.
