Australian violinist to play 341-year-old violin at King Charles III’s Coronation

An Australian violin virtuoso has been given the incredible opportunity to play at King Charles III’s Coronation in London this May.

She’s been asked to perform with her very rare, 341-year-old 1682 Giovanni Grancino violin in the pre-service program.

Madeleine Easton spoke to Deborah Knight about her “extreme honour” to have been asked to be a part of such a historical event.

“I believe me keeping it under wraps for so long was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do because it’s such exciting news,” Madeleine said.

“One of the most wonderful moments of my life receiving that email.”
