Ray Hadley has unpacked the charges against the daughter of Sydney developer Jean Nassif and what it means for the explosive Hills Shire Council inquiry.

Ashlyn Nassif was charged on Tuesday after allegedly defrauding Westpac out of $150 million to build three residential buildings in Castle Hill.

Her father Jean Nassif is the director of Toplace, the company behind those developments and at the centre of the Hills Shire Council inquiry.

It is alleged “NSW Liberal Party state executive member Christian Ellis acted as a lobbyist for Toplace and Jean Nassif then played a role in dismissing a Liberal [Hills Shire] council… and replacing it with a handpicked group of [pro-development] people,” Ray said.
