Sydney trains have been broadcasting special message announcements that are bringing joy to commuters during their journeys.

People have been sharing videos online about how the announcement has made their day.

Chris O’Keefe is joined by the woman behind the voice, Train Guard Helen Martinez.

“I’m a great big dork and I interact with my customers every opportunity I can,” she said.

Helen has received a number of kind messages to her announcements and gifts from customers.

“I had one lady on my birthday offer me apples but the train was pulling away.”
