NZ politician says Jacinda Ardern has left the country in a bad state
A New Zealand politician says people shouldn’t be surprised by the resignation of Jacinda Ardern.
The Prime Minister announced she wouldn’t seek re-election, and a general election will be held on October 14.
New Zealand First leader Winston Peters told Chris O’Keefe that Jacinda Ardern’s Labor Party has left the country in serious trouble.
“Things haven’t gone well for New Zealand since the 2020 election when they got to govern the country alone.”
Mr Peters says the COVID lockdowns were a significant contributor to the declining popularity of Jacinda Ardern, along with harsh vaccine mandates.
