Labor unveils plan to help keep pets in rental properties
NSW Labor is promising to make renting easier for tenants with pets, if it wins the election.
The policy will allow residents to submit pet request forms, giving owners 21-days to respond ‘yes’ or ‘no’.
As rules currently stand, prospective renters with pets can have their applications refused without any explanation.
Shadow Minister for Better Regulation and Innovation Courtney Houssos told Joe Hildebrand Labor’s plan will streamline the application process for renters with pets.
