The federal government is considering a new missile project to protect the Northern Territory from enemy ships.

Medium range missiles will be based on the back of military style four wheel drives.

Foreign Policy Expert Peter Jennings told Joe Hildebrand if we have a number of these vehicles up the top end, they would easily protect the mainland.
