Exclusive: DPP to review sentence of religious knife stabbing offender
Mark Levy has revealed the DPP will be reviewing the sentence imposed on a teenager who stabbed another boy with a religious knife on school grounds.
The offender, who is no longer on bail, is now legally permitted to carry his religious knife.
He walked away from court with the judge sentencing him to a three year community corrections order.
The mother of the victim stabbed twice in the schoolyard fight slammed the court’s light sentence on the attacker.
Speaking with Mark Levy, Fiona said her son was in shock following the decision by the judge to sentence him to a three year community corrections order.
