Melanoma vaccine trial shows promising results

A personalised vaccine has been found to nearly halve the rate of recurrence and death from melanoma.

Researchers say sun-smart prevention is still the best way to avoid skin cancer, but the new treatment could drastically improve outcomes for those who’ve already been diagnosed.

Melanoma Institute Australia co-medical director Prof Richard Scolyer joined Luke Grant to talk about the promising results from the research.
