Aussie cricketers to take a knee at home for first time

Ben Fordham

Australian cricketers will be taking a knee for the first time on home soil.

The team will take part in the stand against racism before the Test match in Perth on Wednesday.

Players around the world have been encouraged to take a knee before games in support of Black Lives Matter.

“If our cricketers wish to take a knee, they can go for their lives,” Ben Fordham said.

“But nobody should be pressured into doing so out of fear of being branded a racist.”
