Labor’s IR laws to cost small business $14k

Ben Fordham

Small and medium size businesses are set to be whacked with hidden fees as a result of Labor’s changes to Industrial Relations.

The Department of Employment anticipates a small business will be forced to fork out $14,600 on consultants – in order to deal with expanded workplace negotiations.

The cost for a medium-sized business could be up to $74,000.

Ben Fordham says the reforms have been rushed by the government and are destined to fail.

“They’ve angered nearly every business in the country. If these changes end up becoming law, business owners will have to pay up.”
