A man has been charged after the alleged theft of a taxi from Sydney’s CBD earlier this month.

On the night of November 4, an unknown man allegedly damaged a silver taxi parked on Hunter Street, Sydney.

Police have been told the man then threatened the 52-year-old taxi driver before stealing the taxi and fleeing.

The cab was later found in Woollahra with significant damage.

After police put out a callout to find the man, he handed himself into Waverley Police Station.
