Government’s industrial relations laws slammed by Liberal senator

The Opposition has launched a blistering attack over the government’s sweeping workplace law changes.

The ‘Secure Jobs, Better Pay’ Bill was introduced to enable multi-employer bargaining and lift wages.

Shadow Employment and Workplace Relations Minister Michaelia Cash told Jim Wilson there is no evidence the reforms will raise wages. 

“Employers across the country are unanimous in their condemnation of this legislation.

“Growing inflation, increase in power costs and interest rates, why would you ram through parliament a deal which is so unpopular and won’t create jobs?”
