British Prime Minister Liz Truss has announced her resignation, making her the shortest-serving prime minister in UK history.

Her replacement will be selected next week.

Speaking on Downing Street, Ms Truss admitted she could not deliver on her election promises.

UK correspondent Adam Gilchrist told Ben Fordham Boris Johnson might throw his hat into the ring.

“There’s no obvious leader.”
