A Bali bombing survivor has spoken out after an insensitive presentation during commemorations of the tragedy.

Organisers at the site of the attack in Kuta showed a documentary about the bombings which included the faces of the bombers and bomb maker Umar Patek, who is soon due to be released from jail.

Families of victims have been left angered by the decision on the 20th anniversary of the tragedy.

Bali bombing survivor Jan Lacznyski told Ben it left him “speechless”.

“I haven’t slept since this happened.

“I’m still trying to think of some rational, reasonable explanation.”

“Why anyone thinks it was appropriate … beggars belief,” Ben said.
