Sydney Harbour Hike to raise funds for Fred Hollows Foundation

Michael McLaren

The Sydney Harbour Hike is coming up this Saturday to raise money for a good cause.

The 34km hike will support the Fred Hollows Foundation and raise much needed funds to help end avoidable blindness.

Celebrity Trainer Shannan Ponton told Deborah Knight he signed up to the event after a scary experience temporarily losing his eye sight.

“Becoming blind is one of the most scary things which could happen to you.

“To think nine out of ten people needlessly lose their vision is a crazy thing in this day and age, so joining the hike is something we can all do to help remedy the situation.”
