Actress Sigrid Thornton has described her love of theatre despite the fact she is well-known for her TV work.

Thornton stars as Emily Penrose in Sydney Theatre Company’s Broadway hit The Lifespan of a Fact.

She told Deborah Knight rehearsals are her theatre highlight.

“On the big and small screens one’s preparation work is largely done alone, but with theatre rehearsal you have a good month to work together as a group.

“It’s a great thrill.”
