A wind farm in the South Burnett could be the answer to a number of political woes for the Queensland government.

Annastacia Palaszczuk is this week spruiking a $776 million injection for the project, which would see up to 150 turbines built near Toowoomba.

Senior 9News reporter Tim Arvier told Ray Hadley while a move away from coal may at first seem risky for the state government, the payoff could be twofold.
