A 2GB Drive listener has sent pictures of what they described as a “rip-off” when it comes to food and drinks at Allianz Stadium.

“Food and drinks must be affordable and a bespoke pie at almost 9 dollars and a can of beer at $13.50 doesn’t represent good value – it’s downright exorbitant and it’s turnoff for fans and families to go to the footy,” Jim said.

“Make it cost-effective and the people will come and let’s hope a review of pricing happens as it would be a shame if fans turn their backs on a world-class stadium.

“We don’t want a taxpayer-funded 800 million dollar venue turning into a white elephant!”
