A fire truck has collided with a tram outside of Sydney’s Central Station, forcing the light rail train off its tracks.

The collision occurred on Eddy Avenue just prior to 11am.

It is not yet known if anybody was injured as a result of the collision.

Fire & Rescue NSW Superintendent Adam Dewberry told Jim Wilson, it was an uncommon accident.
