How the ‘Go The Distance’ campaign reflects hardships cancer patients face

Michael McLaren

A new fund-raising campaign is focusing on helping support life-saving research and treatment for patients with cancer.

The ‘Go The Distance’ campaign will see individuals either swim, bike, or run a set amount of varied distances to represent the length that patients take to get from their home to Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

Gail O’Brien told Deborah Knight the campaign shares a message that Chris O’Brien Lifehouse aims to improve the quality of life for patients and their families, by advancing the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, care, cure and prevention of cancer.
