The number of wild pigs and dogs, tearing up paddocks and fences is on the rise, and farmers are calling for action.

Pest animals cost landholders and agencies an estimated $150 million a year and the rate of incidence is increasing.

Rural editor Sophie Clarke caught up with Northern New South Wales farmer Neil Baker whos is calling for more practical solutions to help curb surging numbers.
