NRL star in strife over ANOTHER dog attack

Ben Fordham

A NSW dog owner has described the horrific moment his beloved greyhound was mauled to death by NRL player Jai Arrow’s dog.

John Gowans allegedly suffered a dog bite when he tried to save his 11-year-old dog Ruby from Arrow’s American Staffordshire terrier Thor.

The Central Coast attack has left Mr Gowans reeling.

“There was nothing I could do,” he told Ben Fordham.

Thor has already been deemed “dangerous” by Waverly Council after mauling another dog in April in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Since the attack, Mr Gowans has attempted to contact Arrow and the South Sydney club.

“Nobody has come around and asked how I am or anything at all.”

Arrow wasn’t with the dog at the time.
