‘It’s on the minor end’: Ben Fordham believes Drummoyne MP won’t be charged
Ben Fordham believes Drummoyne MP John Sidoti won’t be found corrupt after recent ICAC findings.
ICAC found he used his position to try to influence Canada Bay Councillors to support planning changes which would benefit his family.
“We put every allegation to John Sidoti yesterday and I thought he answered them well,” Ben said.
“When you look at what he’s accused of, it’s on the minor’ end of the scale.
“All he did was lobby local councillors to make a decision that would have favoured his family, he should have declared those interests.
“There have been many high profile people who’ve been labelled ‘corrupt’ by ICAC and then cleared their name in a court of law.
“I won’t be surprised if Mr Sidoti becomes another high-profile name to do the same.”
