Anthony Albanese is set to jet off to Fiji today.

He’s attending the Pacific Islands Forum, where he’ll hold talks with several leaders in the region.

The United States will now launch its largest diplomatic push in the Pacific since WWII.

The Peace Corps will return to the region, while $900m will be spent on economic development.

Channel Nine political reporter Eliza Edwards told Chris Smith it’s imperative the PM gets the meeting right.
