‘They’re playing politics’: NSW Premier hits back at unions actions
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has said the unions are “playing politics” to cause maximum damage ahead of the election.
Teachers across New South Wales will walk off the job tomorrow and the Premier isn’t a fan.
Mr Perrottet told Jim Wilson, that classroom walkouts are only happening in NSW due to it being a Liberal government.
“This is the unions playing politics with the Labor Party against parents and children in our state,” he said.
Teachers want a five to seven per cent pay rise, which the Premier said he is working through and it will be addressed in the budget.
“What have I asked, is please allow us as part of the budget that comes up in June to make that announcement … then take action off the back of that if they’re not happy.”
Jim Wilson and Dominic Perrotett also spoke about:
- Tolls
- Federal Election
- Workplace behaviour
