Jim Wilson has slammed Richard Marles labelling him “predictable”.

The Australian newspaper revealed over the weekend that in 2019, taxpayers paid for Marles to conduct meetings in Beijing that were organised by the Chinese government.

The Deputy Leader of the Labor Party shared his speech with the Chinese embassy in Canberra before he delivered it in Beijing also.

“We aren’t dummies Richard, if you seriously want the Australian people to trust you and Labor when it comes to national security and standing up to China, well right now you’ve got your work cut out,” Jim said.

“We don’t need a pushover when it comes to our dealings with the bully boys in Beijing.”
