How to find out more about Anzacs as thousands honoured

Thousands gathered at Sydney’s Anzac Day Dawn Service in Martin Place.

This is the first Anzac Day without restrictions after years of disruptions due to the pandemic.

Cultural historian specialising in World War I, Liz Heffernan, believes Anzac Day is more significant now than it has been previously.

Ms Heffernan told Ray Hadley the legacy and memories of Australian soldiers will never be forgotten.

“We all still carry that legacy on.

“Our memory of that event … is stronger than ever.”
