The NRL CEO has defended the judiciary hearing’s decision on Warriors player Marcelo Montoya.

The Warriors winger has been banned for four matches after he used a homophobic slur when yelling at a Cowboys star on Friday night.

Andrew Abdo told Jim Wilson the decision is the right one.

“It sends a strong message to all our players.

“We hold our players to a much higher standard than that.”
