Complaint lodged against Orange nursing home over resident’s ‘dreadful end’
The family of a woman who died of septic shock have lodged a complaint against an Orange nursing home.
Hazel Neal’s family claim their grandmother died an unnecessary and painful death after being given large doses of antipsychotics.
They say despite their repeated requests for medical care, the facility failed to provide adequate care that would have saved Ms Neal’s life.
Ms Neal’s granddaughter, Suzanne Kerwick, told Ray Hadley there was “quite a long history I feel of neglect”.
“I’m still waiting for an answer from the aged care commission.”
