The Father of Jessica, Peter McMahon has described the predicament his daughter faced today as she was hiding in the ceiling due to the floods in Lismore.

With the entire house becoming a swimming pool, Jess and her husband Thomas climbed the roof with her cat and two dogs.

The whole family has just been rescued and extremely concerned father Peter told Jim Wilson, “It’s fantastic news”.

“SES turned up in a boat and they have now rescued the dogs, so there all reunited and all safe.”

“It’s been a long process and very stressful process.”
