Central Coast Council Administrator Rik Hart is under fire after defending a move to extend a massive rate rise for an additional seven years.

The decision is forcing some of those struggling the most to now pay valuable dollars to repay its huge debt.

It has hence caused uproar for locals.

The move means that residents will be footing the bill for the council’s financial crisis.

Rik Hart told Jim Wilson, “That’s what we need”.

Jim responded, “Well that’s not fair!”

“We’re driving some pretty hard changes,” Rik said.

“It does rely on us continuing with that current rate structure.”
